drink before you go; carry a drink; or if its a multiple lap route or there is an area where you cross over yourself hide a drink there for later;

so ive been stepping up the mileage a bit - 16 miles or thereabouts and today hit a "wall" - completely drained. I'm new to these distances and wondered on tips for getting thru these higher miles. Ive never carried water or gels or anything.
