Get Fit for 201119 December, 2010 0 comments
As we head into 2011 many of us are already thinking about our New Years' Resolutions! - are you one of those that starts off with good intentions but find that you have long forgotten about them within a matter of days? The New year is a great opportunity to have a clean slate, re calibrate our lives and make a few changes.
Our health and wellbeing are always at the top of our lists, with many looking to improve levels of fitness and general health. Depending on who you listen to, something in the region of 75% of people will give up on their new years' resolutions by the 14th january!
To improve your chances of achieving your goals we have come up with three things you should do to prepare;
Decide on a date - it might be a New Year's resolution, but your start date does not have to be 01 Jan. Be realistic! If 01 Jan doesn't work for you then don't do it, but chose a date that will work and you can focus on.
Be accountable - tell everyone you are doing it - none of us like to fail, but telling people you become more accountable, it might just keep you going that extra bit when you think of quitting.
Find someone who has the same goal - find someone who has the same goal, whether its lose weight, get fit, run a marathon - its always better to find someone to train with, its great for motivation!
If you are feeling brave then why not sign up and comment below! - list out your new years resolution and come back to this article at the end of the year!.. What's your new years resolution?
