London, UK:  JoggingBuddy.com the Free      social network website for runners appoints former International Marathon Runner Julia Armstrong as its running Ambassador.

Hot on the heels of a recent announcement of the Appointment of Ultra Marathon Runner and Author, Dr Andrew Murray; JoggingBuddy recognizes the great achievement of Julia Armstrong by appointing her as one of their UK Running Ambassadors.

Amongst Julia’s accolades are; winning the Dublin City Marathon, and representing England in the 1986 Commonwealth Games.  Julia continues to run as well as write on the subject.

Tony Piedade, Founder and CEO of JoggingBuddy.com said “Julia is a fantastic person with remarkable achievements in running and performance. She is very giving with her knowledge and always willing to pass on her learning to others.  As someone who is over 50 years of age she continues to inspire JoggingBuddy members with her monthly updates as she revs up to peak fitness for her many runs in 2011/12.  I look forward to having Julia continue to inspire our members on JoggingBuddy.com”

JoggingBuddy.com is a totally FREE website that allows runners to find other runners to go training with. The site is home to a wide range of people with varying running abilities; from Power Walkers to Ultra Marathon runners.

Julia Said “ It’s great to be able to connect with other runners across the world and to be able to give others the benefit of my, pretty much ‘lifelong’ experiences as a runner! I am a big supporter of physical activity as means of perusing a happier and more balanced and stress free life and as a ‘meditation on the move’.  JoggingBuddy is a great website that offers a very simple and free service which is vital for getting people active and socializing.”
