Nike looks set to put a Spring in your step!
Carl Austin from the running shoes comparison website: www.ransacker.co.uk takes a look at the latest Nike running shoes.
Let’s be honest over the years the majority of runners have had a mixed relationship with Nike. Lack of consistency and focus meant that their running shoes often failed to compete with the specialist running manufacturers. However, a tremendous 2010 saw a reinvigorated and innovative Nike once again establish itself as a leading running shoe manufacture.
I take a quick look at the latest additions to their range and the shoes that are set to put a spring in your step.
Nike Free Run+2 – RRP £69.99

New this Spring the Nike Free Run+ 2 is the perfect shoe for anyone wanting to experience the concept of training barefoot and the added benefits of strengthening the feet and legs. Deep cuts (known as sipes) in the outsole of the shoe enable greater flexibility and movement of the foot than a traditional running shoe design. This construction stimulates muscles for stronger feet and creates the super natural feeling of barefoot-like motion. This new shoe features a unique upper design which is inspired by the anatomy of the foot. The innovative construction bonds narrow strips of thin but strong material directly to the mesh in key support zones; whilst stronger material boosts support and durability in essential areas.
Nike LunarElite+ 2 – RRP £89.99

The Nike LunarElite+ 2 has received a style and design update for Spring. A firm favourite amongst road racers the LunarElite+ 2 is built for speed, the shoe is 0.8 ounces lighter than its predecessor. Innovative sipes offer improved flexibility in the forefoot, while open mesh in the upper increase breathability and comfort. The Dynamic Support system adapts to your stride and provides runner-specific support and cushioning.
Nike LunarHaze+ - RRP £99.99

Another new arrival for spring is the Nike LunarHaze+ featuring innovative new Nike Hyperfuse technology on the upper. The advanced heat and pressure fusion process creates a bond much stronger and lighter than a traditional stitched fabric, providing seamless fit and feel, and breathable durability, with a unique aesthetic appeal. Deep, gender specific flex grooves along the length and width of the mid and outsole enhance flexibility for a smooth, effective stride; whilst the Dynamic Support technology adapts to your needs. Sleek and fresh, the Nike LunarHaze+ is ideal for runners looking for a daily distance shoe.
Available in hot new spring colours including cool grey and red (men’s shoe pictured) theNike LunarEclipse+ offers a sumptuous running experience. Featuring a gender specific LunarLon sole, coupled with Dynamic Support to deliver premium cushioning and comfort that adapts to each runner’s stride for a smooth ride. Reflective elements help visibility in low light conditions, while the lightweight mesh upper enhances ventilation and breathability.
