Sweatshop today announces its partnership with running social networking platform, 

Joining forces to bring together three elements that every aspiring runner needs: the right kit, support and motivation, Sweatshop has become the official UK Retail partner for 


Renowned for its customer service and involvement in all strands of the running community, Sweatshop has been voted the ‘Best Retailer’ for the last seven years in succession, in the Runner’s World ‘Best Retailer’ Awards. 

With over 42 years in the business, almost 40 stores nationwide and offering ground breaking customer service, Sweatshop more than lives up to its strapline “We Know Running” with a proven track record in providing the best choice running apparel, footwear and accessories for both recreational and professional athletes alike. 


Runner relationships are at the heart of Sweatshop; across the UK Sweatshop works closely with local running clubs, running events, organising and supporting races, England Athletics and young athletes through the Sweatshop Track Club. 


Sweatshop is also a founding partner of parkrun and helps fund their free 5k timed runs operating in almost 200 locations nationwide every Saturday, where runners of all ages and abilities take part.  Now almost three years old, the Sweatshop Running Community (SRC) offers free weekly runs with rewards for running out of its stores, encouraging and “helping people of all ages and abilities be the best that they can be”. meanwhile, is an online platform that quite simply helps members find other members to go running with. Launched in late 2008 and re-launched in its new format in June 2012, the site now has thousands of registered runners and over 118 countries represented. 


JoggingBuddy also offers a number of helpful functions to help members stay on track. In addition to searching for other runners they can: plan and log their routes and distances, log their events using the Event CV and track their weight using the website’s weight-loss tracker.
